Reasoning Faith

Did You Know?

Titus 1:9: "He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it."

Is faith blind?

Short Answer: No. Biblical faith is reasoned trust grounded in God’s revelation and confirmed by evidence (Hebrews 11:1; Acts 17:2).

Science examines the natural world; God is the Creator beyond it. The order and fine-tuning of nature point to Him (Romans 1:20).

Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life” (John 14:6, NIV). Salvation is found in no one else (Acts 4:12, NIV).

Yes—divine inspiration (2 Tim 3:16), manuscript evidence, fulfilled prophecy, and transformed lives confirm its reliability.

What about miracles and natural laws?

God established natural laws and can act within His creation as He wills (Luke 1:37). Miracles are signs, not violations.

What is the gospel?

Creation, Fall, Redemption, Restoration: Jesus died for our sins and rose again, offering eternal life to all who believe (1 Cor 15:3–4; John 3:16, NIV).

How do I study the Bible well?

Use the inductive method: Observe, Interpret, Apply. Pray for the Spirit’s guidance (John 16:13).

What is the Trinity?

One God in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—coequal and coeternal (Matthew 28:19).

Why is there hell?

God’s justice responds to sin; the cross offers salvation. Hell is separation from God for those who reject Christ (2 Thess 1:8–9).

How do I share my faith?

Pray, love, listen, share your story, present the gospel, and invite a response (1 Peter 3:15; Romans 10:9–10, NIV).

God empowers the Church with diverse gifts for service and mission (1 Corinthians 12; Acts 1:8, NIV).
